Jack Epperson from Dayton, Nevada, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions Clubs International at the association's 97th International Convention held in Toronto, Canada, July 4 through 8, 2014.
Director Epperson is a retired CEO of a technical and research company.
A member of the Dayton Valley Loins Club, and a Lion since 2001, he has held many offices with the association, inclding district governor, district GLT coordinato and region chairperson. He has also been a board member of Lions in Sight of Claifornia and Nevada and chairperson of the Nevada Prison Eyeglass Recycling Project.
In recognition of his services to the association, he has received numerous awards, including Lion of the Year, District Governor Excellence Award, Membership Key Award, International Leadership Award and an International President's Award. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Epperson is active in numerous professional and community orginizations, including the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
Director Epperson and his wife, Mary, also a Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, have one son, two daughters, and eight grandchildren.
